How to sign up to a Twilio account

Learn how to create a Twilio account if you don't have one already.

Twilio is a customer engagement platform used by hundreds of thousands of businesses and more than ten million developers worldwide to build unique, personalized experiences for their customers. They offer a platform that can unify various communication channels in one place. You can read more about Twilio here.

While Twilio has many, amazing functionalities, the integration between Twilio and Appointedd focuses on sending SMS only.

In order to take advantage of the integration, you will need to have both a Twilio and an Appointedd account:

If you are planning to send SMS to US numbers, you will need to get registered for A2P 10DLC with Twilio directly once you've got your account with them sorted. You can learn more about how to register here.


βš™οΈ How to sign up to Twilio

You can easily sign up by following this link and follow the steps within the setup wizard. Below, there's some helpful screenshots to guide you through this.

Please note, that this is Twilio's sign up flow and as such if you need help at any point, please get in touch directly with them - you can do this here.

  1. The first step is to create an account with your basic details such as email and name

  2. Then you'll need to verify your email

  3. As well as your phone number

  4. Once you've verified your contact details, you'll be asked to fill out some details about your business

  5. Then you'll be taken to your new Twilio account. Make sure you set up a phone number (or other Send-from) while you're here, as you'll need this to connect Twilio to Appointedd.
