Please note: this feature has been deprecated and not available for any new connections.

Any existing users who currently have it enabled will still be able to use it in the meantime.

With Appointedd you can send automated SMS and email marketing as notifications or campaigns.

Notifications are ongoing marketing messages and are sent each day at 4pm to any customers that meet the criteria for that message, for example as SMS sent to a customer after their 10th booking.
Campaigns are targeted one-off messages via SMS or email that are sent to any customers that meet the criteria for that message for example a Summer Campaign. Campaigns send at 4pm on the day they are scheduled for or you can choose to send them immediately.

Please note: in order to use the SMS functionality, you will need to integrate with one of the SMS providers. Click here to learn more.

πŸ–ŒοΈ How to edit the content of your marketing automation

You can edit the text content, the format of the text, add lists, hyperlinks and images.

Top tip: to ensure that hyperlinks are clickable, send the automation by email. If a hyperlink is sent in an SMS, the hyperlink being clickable depends on the phone of the recipient.

To add images to your campaign or notification, you require the URL of that image. To find this URL:

  • Go to the website on which the image you want to use is placed

  • Right click on the image and select open image in new tab

  • Copy the URL of the image on the new tab

If you have a header and footer HTML already set up in your email settings, these will automatically be included in your marketing emails. Read about how to set up header and footers here.

Next, go to the campaign which you wish to add the image to:

  • In the textbox, click the image icon

  • In the source field, paste the URL

  • You can also choose the dimensions of the image here if you wish

  • Click ok to save.

πŸ“¨ How to trigger an on-demand campaign

Once you've created an on-demand campaign, you can send it manually at your chosen time by clicking view next to the campaign and clicking send campaign now. To see a preview and how many customers match the criteria of the any campaign, click view.

When a scheduled campaign is created, it sits as active and will send on your selected date to those customers who match the criteria.

πŸ“‘ Who will my marketing automation send to?

The marketing automation will send to any customer in your CRM who:

  • Has a valid email address/mobile phone number

  • Meets the criteria of your campaign/notification according to any filters you’ve applied

  • Is opted in to marketing through Appointedd.
