Appointedd will soon offer a native integration with Zapier to create Zaps. This will allow you to set up workflows easily between Appointedd and your other apps, without having to use webhooks. Learn more about the upcoming feature here.

🧐 What is Zapier?

Zapier is tool that has more than 4000+ app integrations including Slack, Google Docs, Trello, MailChimp, Salesforce, Trustpilot, and more.

By using Appointedd's webhooks, you can pass information from Appointedd to Zapier which "Zaps" the info to your other business tools.

Please note that using Zapier with webhooks requires premium access. Check out their standard and professional plans here.

How does it work?

  1. A webhook is created in Appointedd

  2. Information is passed via the webhook into Zapier

  3. Zapier sends it to your chosen app integration e.g. Mailchimp

βš™οΈ How to set it up

Firstly, you need to create a Zapier account and make a zap! Watch our video and follow the steps:

  • Sign up for a Zapier account here.

  • Click Create Zap and name your zap

  • Select the Webhook option on the bottom right-hand side

  • Select the Trigger Event, Catch Hook in the drop down and Continue

  • Copy the Custom Webhook URL and select Continue

For next steps, follow our webhook guide. We've provided an outline below:

  • Log into your Appointedd account here

  • Head to Connect > Create webhooks > Add a webhook

  • Name the webhook and select your trigger

  • Paste the Custom Webhook URL from Zapier and Save Webhook

  • In Zapier, click on Test trigger and if the test is successful, click Continue

If the test is unsuccessful, double check the Custom Webhook URL and make sure you're performing the correct action in Appointedd to trigger the webhook e.g. for a booking_created webhook, you must create a booking in Appointedd.

  • If your action needs to follow certain criteria, for example you only want to add customers into Mailchimp who have subscribed, then under the Action step, select the Filter option on the right-hand side

  • Choose the dataset that the marketing opt-in must equal true and Continue

  • Add another Action step, select your chosen app and Action Event

  • Fill out any further information you require and Continue and Turn on Zap

You are all set! πŸͺ„

If you wish to add more webhooks such as customer_updated , simply complete the steps above.

If you have any feedback we would love to hear it πŸ‘‚
