Using your Facebook or Google account to sign up and log into different apps and sites is increasingly popular as it is easy and convenient. Social Sign-on removes friction by allowing you to sign into your different accounts without having to add your email and password.
Following popular demand, you can now sign up and log into your Appointedd account with your Google or Facebook account!
🧐 What is Social Sign-on?
Social Sign-on is a form of single sign-on using existing information from a social networking service such as Facebook or Google, to sign into your Appointedd account instead of using new login details specifically for Appointedd.
Social Sign-on is a frictionless method of accessing Apointedd as you don't have to separately log into Appointedd if you're already logged into your chosen social account. In addition, using social login increases the security of your Appointedd account as it provides additional tracking and protection.
What Social Sign-on options are available on Appointedd?
Appointedd offers sign up and login via Facebook and Google. Both are secure, fast and convenient.
🧑🏽💻 How to use Social Sign-on
Sign up
When you initial create an Appointedd account, you've got the option to sign up with Facebook or Google. If you choose to do this, you'll be able to use your social account log into your Appointedd account straight away.
You can manage this connection under the profile icon in the top right corner by clicking on Edit login details.
Please note, if you signed up with a social account, and you'd like to disconnect it for some reason, you'll need to set a password before doing this.
Connect Social Sign-on
If you signed up using your email and password, you still have the option to connect your chosen social account to your Appointedd, and start using it for logging in going froward.
To make the connection, follow these steps:
Go to the profile icon in the top right cornet
Click on Edit login details
On the Your account page, click on Connect next to your preferred provider
You can choose to connect Facebook, Google or both
You'll be guided through the relevant authorisation flow which will allow Appointedd to use your social credentials for logging
Once you've gone through the authorisation flow and confirmed the connection between your Appointedd and chosen social account, you're all set to start using this method to log in. Simply click on the appropriate login method when you next login:
Disconnect
If you decide to disconnect your Facebook, Google or both accounts from your Appointedd account, you can do this on the Your account page by clicking Disconnect next to the relevant social account.
Please note, if you signed up with a social account, and you'd like to disconnect it for some reason, you'll need to set a password before doing this. You can do this on the top of the Your account page.

Why can't I login with my chosen Social sign-on account?
If you're unable to log in with your chosen SSO method, one of two things might be happening:
You are using the wrong Facebook or Google account to log in.
You should sign out of Facebook or Google and log in with the correct account.
You haven't connected (or signed up) with a social account on Appointedd yet.
If this is the case, and you have an existing Appointedd account, simply log in with your email & password, then head over the profile icon to connect your social account with your Appointedd one.
