Our ticket generation and QR code scanning feature enhances event management by making check-ins fast and organized. With unique QR-coded tickets, attendees can be quickly verified and checked in, helping to reduce wait times and keep entry smooth and efficient.
These features are available only on the web-app and are not supported on the mobile app.
๐ Feature overview
Our event ticket generation and QR code scanning functionality is designed to streamline your event check-in experience. When you enable this option for events, each attendee will automatically receive a PDF ticket containing a unique QR code attached to their confirmation email. On the event day, use the built-in scanner in the Appointedd web app to scan each QR code and automatically check in attendees, marking them as "Arrived" in real-time.
โ๏ธ How it works
๐๏ธ Enabling ticket generation for events
Navigate to an existing or create a new event-type service you want to enable ticket generation on via Setup tab -> Manage services (available to admin and standard users only);
โYou can either edit the existing service or select +Add new service;
Scroll to Type of service section and toggle ON Generate tickets for this event toggle:
Once enabled, a PDF ticket will be automatically created for each attendee upon booking this event and attached to the confirmation email sent to them.
โEach ticket will feature a unique QR code that can be scanned on the day of the event.
Example of how the PDF ticket may look:

The tickets will be translated into the language used in the customer's confirmation email.

๐ Onsite check-in with QR code
Open the web scanner in your web app when itโs time to check attendees in. You can find this either via the Setup tab -> Scan tickets or via the button Scan tickets from within the booking pop-up window:
This will direct you to the page from which you can start scanning the attendee QR codes. Simply click the button to start scanning and allow the scanner to access your device's camera.
Make sure the ticket QR code is placed correctly within the white scan frame;
Upon scanning, the system will fetch the key booking and participant data from the QR code for you to review and confirm the check-in.
โOnce confirmed, the customer's arrival status will be automatically marked as โArrivedโ in the system.
โIf a customer is already checked-in or their QR code is invalid, the system will display an error message.
Note: If you manually change the arrival status to anything other than 'Arrived,' the system will allow the QR code to be used for check-in again.
