What is Zapier?
Zapier (rhymes with 'happier') is an application that allows you to move information between your web apps (like Appointedd) automatically, so you save time and don’t have to think about it.
In other words, Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your apps and services. You can connect two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding or relying on developers to build the integration.
What are triggers?
A trigger is an event that starts a Zap (workflow), and an action is what your Zap does for you. Every Zap has a trigger and one or more actions.
Find a list below of the Zapier triggers that Appointedd currently offers. We are planning on adding more triggers and actions in the future, leave us feedback here on what triggers you'd like to see!
Available now: Customer based triggers
When is trigger sent?
Customer is created in one of your Appointedd accounts
Customer details updated
Please note: this trigger will include both the old and new customer details.
Customer is deleted
Customer triggers can be used for CRM systems to create and update customer records, or marketing systems to record marketing opt-in for instance. Check out what CRM systems you're able to use with Appointedd via Zapier here, and for marketing follow this link.
Booking based triggers
When is trigger sent?
When a new booking is created with one or more customers in your Appointedd organisation.
This will trigger when an empty booking with no customer(s) is created.
When a customer is added to a new booking or a customer is added on to an existing booking that supports more than one customer.
This will not trigger when an empty booking with no customer(s) is created.
Entire booking is cancelled
(empty or with customers)
This will not trigger when a single customer cancels from an existing group booking.
Booking with customers is cancelled or customer is removed from a booking
This will not trigger when a an empty booking is cancelled.
Please note: if a booking is rescheduled or a customer is moved from one booking to another, both appropriate cancelled and created triggers will be sent to Zapier.
For instance, if a booking is rescheduled from Monday to Friday, the original booking will be cancelled an as such, a
booking_cancelled trigger is sent to Zapier, while the new booking is create and therefore a
booking_created trigger is also sent.
