By applying groups to your resources, you can allow customers to select the group they wish to book with and offer different booking tools to different customers.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§ When would I group my resources?

Resource grouping can be used in your business to group resources according to specific criteria.

For example, resource can be grouped by:

  • Department e.g. sales, support and tech

  • Location e.g. Glasgow, Manchester and London

  • Specialty e.g. sports massage, injury follow up and reflexology

  • Type e.g. meeting rooms, conference rooms and tour operators.

🧐 How to create a booking widget for one resource group

As well as generating a Booking Page for each of your resources, you can create a booking widget specifically for that resource group. See this guide on how to create a booking widget and simply limit it to the resource group you require.

πŸ“† How to make an internal booking with any resource from a specific resource group

When making bookings internally, the first step is to click the +Add new booking button and follow the booking flow steps.

Please note: Restricted users will also be able to see resource groups toggle in the internal booking flow only if:
- there are at least one resource group set up;

- they have full access to all resources within at least one resource group.

If you have any resource groups set up, where you have full access to all resources within those groups, a group toggle will appear next to the resource selection. This will allow you to schedule a booking with any resources from a particular group only.
