❶ Your microsite

What is a microsite? A microsite is a mini website page.

When you create your Appointedd account, a microsite is automatically generated for you. It has a unique link that you can add to your website, share with customers via email, WhatsApp, or chat, and promote on social media - anywhere you like!

When a customer clicks your microsite link, they're taken to a new tab to complete their booking.

The domain of your microsite page defaults to appointedd.com, but you can set up your own custom domain if you'd prefer. Learn more about customising your microsite via the Hub here.

❷ Your booking widget

Your booking widgets are customisable booking tools that you can copy and paste into your website or mobile app, or share with customers as a link in an email.

Why are they different from microsites? You can make them look fully native to your website page, and they won't redirect customers away to a new tab. There are three widget modes available:

  1. Embed mode - add a snippet of code to your website that embeds your booking widget directly on your web page.

  2. Popover mode - add a snippet of code to your website that adds a "Book Now" button, triggering a small popup window when clicked.

  3. URL mode - a unique URL for your booking widget, similar to a microsite. Simply share it with your customers - no development effort needed.

❸ The API

What is the API? Our API gives you full, code-level access to our booking engine, so you can build a completely bespoke booking journey from start to finish.

Why choose the API over a microsite or widget? Microsites and widgets are ready-to-use out of the box with little to no development effort. The API, by contrast, is built for businesses who want complete control over the look, feel, and flow of the booking journey - fully integrated into your own website, app, or internal systems, with no Appointedd branding or fixed UI.
