How to disassociate a service blueprint

Learn how to remove your blueprint from the console but preserve the service

Disassociating a service blueprint

Disassociating removes the blueprint's connection to your accounts but preserves the existing service data in those accounts. Use this when you want to stop managing a service centrally but keep it running in the accounts where it already exists.

Step 1: Find the blueprint

In the left-hand navigation, go to Services and locate the blueprint you want to disassociate using the search bar.

Step 2: Open the delete dialog

In the Actions column, click the trash icon. A Delete Blueprint pop-up will appear.

Step 3: Confirm by typing the blueprint name

In the confirmation field, type the blueprint name exactly as shown.

Step 4: Click Disassociate

Click Disassociate. The blueprint will be removed from your console, but the service will remain in each of the previously associated accounts with all its existing data intact.
