You can send your customers an automatic text message when they make a booking with you, when a booking is modified, cancelled, requested and declined. You can also send a reminder and follow up text to reduce no shows and promote repeat custom.
In order to send these texts, your Appointedd account needs to be connected to an SMS provider. We recommend that you utilise Appointedd's native integration with Twilio or MessageBird. However, if this is not an option for some reason, you can utilise Appointedd SMS.
How many credits do SMS use?
Depending on the length of your SMS message, more than one credit could be used.
One credit gives less than 160 characters so if the SMS is 160 characters or more, you could be charged for more than one credit:
Less than 160 characters
Between 160 and 320 characters
Between 320 and 480 characters
3 credits etc.
How much do SMS credits cost?
You can purchase Appointedd SMS bundles from the billing page in your account and use your credits at any time. They roll over each month, so we will never charge you monthly for SMS bundles. They will last depending on how many texts you send out.
Please note: you won't be able to purchase SMS credits if you are on the Appointedd trial as this would require your card details.

Will I be notified if my SMS credits are low?
Yes, we will send you a message to let you know when your SMS amount is low, giving you good time to top up where necessary.
You will be able to view your credit usage, the credits you have left, and top up accordingly at your billing page here.
My credits are running out faster than expected!
We will always charge you accordingly to the character length, but there are a few recommendations we'd make to help keep your credit purchasing to a minimum. Please read our helpful guide here.
