Creating a new resource blueprint
A resource blueprint is a console template that defines a resource and pushes it to one or more of your accounts. Use this when you want to create a new resource centrally and have it appear across multiple accounts, rather than setting it up in each account individually.
Step 1: Open the blueprint form
In the left-hand navigation, go to Resources, then click Create Blueprint.
Step 2: Name your blueprint
At the top of the form, enter a Blueprint Name. This is the internal name you'll use to identify the blueprint in the console - it's not shown to customers.
Step 3: Add the basic information
Fill in the core details for the resource:
Resource Name - the name of the resource (e.g. a staff member, room, or piece of equipment).
Contact Number - optional phone number for the resource, with country code selector.
Email - optional email address for the resource.
Additional Email Addresses - click Add another email to include addresses that should be CC'd on communications.
Step 4: Set email notification preferences
Under Email Notifications, tick the types of emails this resource should receive:
Send resource booking confirmation emails - when a booking is made.
Send resource booking request emails - when a new booking request comes in.
Send resource booking cancellation emails - when a booking is cancelled.
Remember: these communications will only send if the action was made by the customer.
Step 5: Add location details
Fill in the address fields if the resource is tied to a physical location:
House Number
Address Line 1 and Address Line 2
City
Postcode
All location fields are optional, so skip any that don't apply.
Step 6: Add a description and colour
Description - optional text describing the resource.
Colour - pick a colour using the swatch, or enter a hex code (e.g.
#0166cc). This is used to visually identify the resource in the calendar.
Step 7: Associate accounts
Under Add Associations, choose the accounts where this resource should appear. You can select one or many.
Step 8: Save and deploy the blueprint
Once everything's filled in, save the blueprint. You'll be taken to a summary page where the blueprint will show a status of Pending Create - saving alone doesn't push the resource to your accounts.
To deploy it, click Sync All and the resource will then be created in each of the associated accounts.
(If you want to associate an existing resource in app.appointedd.com to this resource blueprint, follow this guide).
