Creating a new service blueprint
A service blueprint is a console template that defines a service and pushes it to one or more of your accounts. Use this when you want to create a new service centrally and have it appear across multiple accounts, rather than setting it up in each account individually.
Step 1: Open the blueprint form
In the left-hand navigation, go to Services, then click Create Blueprint.
Step 2: Name your blueprint
At the top of the form, enter a Blueprint Name. This is the internal name you'll use to identify the blueprint in the console β it's not shown to customers.
Step 3: Add the basic information
Fill in the details that customers will see when booking:
Service Name - the name shown to customers.
Description - optional, but recommended.
Service Image - drag and drop or click to upload (JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP, max 5MB).
Service Type - select the appropriate type (Standard or Event).
Step 4: Set the duration and capacity
Define how long the service runs and how many people can book it:
Duration - length of the service in minutes.
Price Type and Fixed Price - choose how the service is priced and set the amount.
Payment Option - select how customers pay (Full or Deposit, or leave as None).
Occupancy - the total number of spots available per booking slot.
Max Participants per Booking - the maximum number of people one customer can book at once.
Allow Online Group Booking - tick this if multiple customers should be able to book the same slot.
Buffers - set time before and/or after the service to block out for prep or turnaround.
Step 5: Configure booking settings
Control how the service is booked and delivered:
Visibility Type - choose whether the service is available for online booking, online request, not bookable, or not visible.
Resource Allocation Type - set how resources are assigned to bookings (All assigned or Any assigned).
Location & Conferencing - enter a physical location, or tick Enable video conferencing if you've set up Zoom or Microsoft Teams on the account.
Availability - set advance notice requirements, or leave Use default ticked to inherit account-level settings.
Rescheduling - tick Allow rescheduling if customers should be able to change their booking after it's made. (You can allow resource re-selection when rescheduling and set the reschedule notice period).
Step 6: Associate accounts
Under Add Associations, choose the accounts where this service should appear. You can select one or many.
Step 7: Save and deploy the blueprint
Once everything's filled in, save the blueprint. You'll be taken to a summary page where the blueprint will show a status of Pending Create - saving alone doesn't push the service to your accounts.
To deploy it, click Sync All and the service will then be created in each of the associated accounts.
(If you want to associate an existing service in app.appointedd.com to this service blueprint, follow this guide).
