Appointedd integrates with Cronofy, which provides a real-time and secure two-way calendar-sync to allow you to connect your Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Exchange or 365 calendar to Appointedd.
This application is only offered to our enterprise customers.
You can read their guide here.
Enterprise Connect requires work from your IT team to ensure Appointedd can connect to your servers directly. It will require a call between your IT team and Appointedd to complete the setup successfully.
Using Enterprise Connect with Appointedd comes at an additional cost to you. Please contact your Client Partner for more information.
Should I use FreeBusy mode?
Cronofy's Enterprise Connect offers a "FreeBusyOnly" mode, which restricts Appointedd to viewing only whether calendar slots are free or busy, without access to event details or external client information.
In this mode, Appointedd does not have write access to customers' calendars either. As a result, bookings cannot be exported directly into external calendars. Instead, once a booking is created, you can use the link provided in the confirmation email to manually add the event to your calendar.
Events are shared via ICS files, which can be enabled through the confirmation email sent to the resource. In many cases, ICS files are automatically added to calendars; however, this behaviour depends on your mail server and calendar client, and may not always occur automatically.
When can I make changes?
You must get permission from your internal IT team before you make any changes to your calendar settings.
If you change permission on your calendar from full access to free busy, for example, the ability to read events from the external calendar will be refused.
β οΈ This will trigger an event to Cronofy to delete all external events β οΈ
I'm no longer getting appointments in my calendar?
If you have previously linked a calendar to Appointedd and later unlinked it, it is possible for you to receive a message along the lines of:
"Appointedd is using Cronofy to connect to your Google calendar.
We need you to relink your Google account for email@address.com so that Appointedd can continue to access your calendar.
This can happen for all sorts for reasons. Often, for example, providers will expire links to services when you change your password."
This is not a phishing email; it's a reminder that this particular account is currently not linked with Appointedd. You can choose to reconnect the account or disregard the email if no longer relevant.
Once you resync with your external calendar, any bookings made through Appointedd while the calendar was disconnected will be updated in your external calendar.
Please note: due to Cronofy's limitation, you can only sync your external calendar up to 200 days in advance.
If you have any feedback we would love to hear it π
